WECRD Presents Minor Field Lease Proposal to City Council

Director Lee Pierce met with the Mountain Home City Council on March 12 to propose a 15 year lease of the Minor League Field and associated facilities. Upon signing of the lease agreement, the WECRD will manage existing programs using the facilities and will have the ability to utilize and run its own programs as well. The City Council has tentatively agreed to the proposal, for the cost of the work that had already been completed on the Minor Field dugouts by C-2 Construction. The City of Mountain Home will in turn, pay the agreed upon amount to C-2 for the completed work. The 10 year lease, with an optional five year extension, will allow the future development of programs by the WECRD and in the words of Director Pierce, “This will be a true joint facility, owned by one and operated by the other.”
